The burner operates on a highly pre-mixed gas-air mixt. There is at least one aperture (4) in the wall of a Venturi tube (2), infinitely variable in its cross-section by a temp.-dependent bimetal flap (5). The bimetal flap is in the form of a spherical cap, moving in the aperture and abutting the aperture peripheral edge, when closed.
