The height of adjustment device incorporates an angle gear which has a first drive gearwheel (21) and a second coupling gearwheel (23) which meshes with it. The drive gear wheel via an operating device is rotatable counter-clockwise. The coupling gearwheel locates coaxially on the threaded pin (11). The threaded pin is anchored in a non-rotatable manner. The coupling gearwheel is provided with an inner bore (35) with an inner thread, by means of which it locates rotatably on the threaded pin. The coupling gearwheel is a part of the counter bearing (13) so that by its rotation and its position alteration relative to the threaded pin the counter bearing is adjustable.
