Funnel with non return valve

The non-return valve (12) which is in the form of a hollow ball is mounted on the end of a stem (7) which runs in the centre of the funnel. The valve is located in the cylindrical spout of the funnel. The valve stem (7) is guided in a sleeve (6) which is attached to a cross strip (8). When pressure is building up in the container (14), into which liquid is being poured, the valve is pushed up against a valve seat. The valve stem incorporates a hinge (4) so that the top half of the stem can be hinged down and secured under one of he hooks (3) on the funnel edge. This keeps the valve permanently closed.
