Limitation of lowering movement for scoop of swivel-type excavator

The lowering movement of the elevator mechanism (2) is automatically shut off shortly before the wheels (12) or other components can be touched when the scoop is turned fully to the left-hand or right-hand position. This movement is halted by the tripping of two contacts in series from recognition of the position of the elevator mechanism. The closing of both contacts causes closure of a relay supplying a current for a proportional control of the lowering movement. Alternatively the movement is controlled electrohydraulically.
