<p>PURPOSE: To provide a receiver to be used in a CDMA system using M-ary transmission and asynchronous detection for which the degradation of communication quality due to phasing is hardly generated. CONSTITUTION: A soft information data processor 25 for calculating transition metric used for decoding in a viterbi decoder 27 by using all data outputted by a diversity coupler 24 is provided inside this receiver. To put it concretely, the receiver is constituted so as to use the logarithm value of the integrated value of a function value for an encoding bit '0' and the logarithm value of the integrated value of the function value for the encoding bit '1' among the respective first kind Bessel function values of M pieces of the data outputted by the diversity coupler 24 as bit metric at the time of viterbi decoding in the viterbi decoder 27.</p> |
