PURPOSE: To form a coating film on a work roll in an early stage, eliminate the unevenness and enable the high-speed rolling of a stainless steel sheet excellent in luster at a speed as high as >=700m/min. CONSTITUTION: This rolling oil for stainless steel sheets is an emulsion of a rolling oil stock solution obtained by blending a base oil which is a synthetic ester with 3-10wt.% salt of a mono- or a dialkyl ester of orthophosphoric acid or/and phosphorous acid with an alkylamine. Furthermore, 0.005-0.1wt.% 4-18C alcohol and/or one or more selected from the group consisting of hydrogen peroxide, peracetates, perbenzoates, nitrates and nitrites is added into the emulsion or 0.5-5wt.% thereof are added into the rolling oil stock solution. |
