METHOD FOR ACCURATELY REPRODUCING METALLIC PARTICLE FEELING

PURPOSE: To reproduce a painted color with fidelity to a color intended on a computer. CONSTITUTION: A deformation beam split reflection factor on an external painted plate is measured by a deformation beam split measuring instrument (S1). A feature amount concerning deformation and a feature amount concerning wave length are extracted from the measured deformation beam split reflection factor (S2). By reproducing the original deformation beam split reflection factor while using the extracted feature amounts or by changing the extracted feature amounts, the material feeling or color of the external plate is changed and the deformation beam split reflection factor is reconstituted (S3). The image of a painting color is displayed by using the reconstituted deformation beam split reflection factor (S4). Thus, the color or material feeling can be easily controlled.
