PURPOSE: To provide a controller for an electronic musical instrument capable of deal ing with the acceleration/high function of the electronic musical instrument and suitable for making an LSI. CONSTITUTION: This controller is provided with at least a first storage means 70 storing a part of a control program and the waveform data, a processing means 13 operating according to the control program read out from the first storage means 70 and a musical sound signal generation means 12 generating a musical sound signal based on the waveform data read out from the first storage means 70, and the processing means accesses to the first storage means 70 in a first section, and the musical sound signal generation means accesses to the first storage means 70 in a second section respectively alternately between one cycle consisting of the first section and the second section, and the control is performed while repeating the cycle. In the controller for the electronic instrument, a second storage means 30 storing another part of the control program is provided further, and it is constituted so that the processing means is operated while reading out another part of the control program from the second storage means 30 in both of the first section and the second section. |
