Centrifugal pump combining pump, evaporator and water separator

The centrifugal pump for steam removal is used for impelling fluids which are partly evaporated. Behind the running wheel (1) of the pump in a tubular part steam removal is possible through an opening (8) out of the middle of the space enclosed in this part. The pump has local unevennesses for increasing the turbulence of the process fluid and is heated for improving the steam quality. The centrifugal pump is fed with process fluid which is accelerated and is evaporated on a surface formed by centrifugal force. It is then sepd. and in the fluid phase pressure is built up.
