<p>PURPOSE: To record a recording state without depending on the presence of an input video signal in the magnetic tape information retrieving device having a display of the recording state such as a date, time and channel, or a retrieval system of program searching, etc. CONSTITUTION: A video signal received by an external video signal input part 2 is detected by a video signal presence discriminating means 3 as to whether or not the video signal is present. Then, when the video signal is discriminated to be present, an external video signal is selected, and when the video signal is discriminated to be absent, a video signal from a video signal generating circuit 4 is selected by a changeover switch 5, and the recording state of the tape is recorded by a tape state information data superimposing circuit 7.</p> |
