PURPOSE: To execute high speed expansion processing by repeating copying based on an expansion table in which copy source information representing copy procedure, base point information and a coordinate system or the like are set to execute the expansion processing thereby reducing the number of times of copying. CONSTITUTION: An editing device 1 is made up of an expansion table generating means 2 and an expansion image forming means 3 and connects an expansion table 4 to input and output devices 5, 6 to edit a digital binary image. The means 2 sets copy source information. base point information and a coordinate system of absolute, relative coordinate to the table 4. The means 3 repeats copying based on the copy source information, base point information and a coordinate system set to the table 4 corresponding to the expansion command designating an expansion width to expand the image circularly. In this case, the table 4 used by the means 3 is generated every expansion width of the means 2 to expand the image. Thus, the quality accuracy is kept, the number of times of copying is reduced and high speed expansion processing is executed. |
