MANUFACTURE OF GRAIN BOUNDARY INSULATED LAMINATED CERAMIC COMPONENT

PURPOSE: To provide a grain boundary insulated-type laminated ceramic component which is uniform in electrical properties and high in characteristic reproducibility, wherein the ceramic component is applicable to various electronic equipments. CONSTITUTION: A laminate is so burned in a reducing atmosphere that the outermost layer of a laminate or a null layer 3 which is not sandwiched in between inner electrodes 2 is so set as to be thicker than a ceramic layer 1 or an effective layer sandwiched in between the inner electrodes 2 and identical to it in structure, and the outer layer 6 of the residual null layer 3 is formed of porous structure. By this setup, the laminate of this constitution can be restrained from being irregularly re-oxidized and set uniform in electrical properties and high in characteristic reproducibility.
