<p>PURPOSE: To use the pointing device as both a mouse and a track ball by making possible input from two directions to a rotary body as to a pointing device which moves the indication display of a cursor, etc., on a screen by the rotation of the rotary body such as a ball. CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with the rotary body 1, a housing 1 which contains the rotary body 11 rotatably, and a detection member 12 which detects the quantity of rotation of the rotary body 11, the indication display on the display screen is moved corresponding to the detection of the quantity of rotation of the rotary body 11 by the detection member 12, and a 1st cut part 4 which exposes part of the rotary body 11 is formed in one surface of the housing 1. Further, a 2nd cut part 6 for exposing part of the rotary body 11 is formed in another surface of the housing 1.</p> |
