PURPOSE: To provide a surface mounting type electromagnetic sounding body which can facilitate the connection between a coil terminal and a surface mounting terminal and also can be easily turned into a thin and compact structure. CONSTITUTION: The coil terminals 18a and 18b are connected to the terminals 8 and 10 between a coil 18 and a magnet 20 and also on the same plane. Therefore, the magnet 20 never overlaps the connection structure part of both coils 18a and 18b, so that an extremely thin structure is obtained. In addition, the connection structure part of coils 18a and 18b is positioned at the inside of the ma≃t 20 and a microminiature structure is attained. Then the connection job can be extremely facilitated since the attachment parts 8b and 10b of terminals 8 and 10 are protruding upward over a lower case 6.
