Vehicle counting and classification sensor

The device for counting and classifying vehicles uses an electro-optical reflecting light barrier, consisting of a light source and receiver in a common housing (1) emitting light beams in a capture area, illuminating the reflective vehicle number plate (2) and with an incident angle at the reflector surface less than 90o. Three of capture areas are arranged in succession, where two capture areas are arranged in one direction, with the other in the opposite direction.
