Cable shears for cables made of different materials

A cable shears has two pivoted grips with jaws. These have a front and a rear cutting edge (5,6), each about half the total length of the jaws. The blades are at an angle to the axis (7) through the shears and they have the shape of a droplet. The front blade has a shorter straight section than the rear one but a larger curved section. The curve sections are 90-degree arcs.
