Sealing for wing frames with limit stop on a curtain wall or semi-curtain

The seal, designed to be applied against the edge of a frame (5) when it is held against a fixed frame member (6), has a coupling head (41) to engage with the fixed frame member, and a projection (44) with a seal lip (45) which acts as a safety barrier in the event of a window pane becoming unstuck. The coupling head and projection are joined by a connecting zone (49) which acts as a stop for the edge (48) of the opening window and designed so that pressure against the connecting zone causes the lip to pivot and press against the window. The seal is pref. made from an elastomer material such as EPDM.
