CLEANER AND CLEANING METHOD

A vacuum cleaner which does not require rotary brushes and have a main body of suction nozzle with silent operation. A gap (suction nozzle) is formed between the front edge pat of the main body of suction nozzle and the surface to be cleaned. A suction chamber is formed with a smooth and continuous surface shaped in a cylinder defined from the end part of the suction nozzle through inside the main body of suction nozzle. By evacuating the air inside the suction chamber by suction means, a spiral air flow is generated in the longitudinal direction of the main body of suction nozzle, and dust staying on the surface to be cleaned are removed and sucked with high-speed airflow. <IMAGE>
