FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: microwave contact radiator is a coaxial section filled with dielectric material. The section has an open end with internal diameter D and length l=≈λ, where λis the maximum wavelength in the operating waveband of the microwave contact radiator. The inner conductor in the coaxial section smoothly moves from towards the outer conductor surface from the center to the output section of the radiator value r. The value of r is determined from the following formula: r=where D is internal section of the radiator, d is inner conductor diameter, E is permittivity of the dielectric filling, Zis free space wave impedance, and Zis wave impedance in the output section matched with surface resistance of the skin integument. EFFECT: wider match band; improved localization of irradiated area. |
