PURPOSE: To obtain a physiologically active peptide having an inhibiting effect on platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF). CONSTITUTION: This physiological activity peptide or derivarive thereof has an amino acid sequence represented by formula A-Ya-Xa-Yb-Xb-Yc-Xc-Yd-B [A is an amino terminal residue selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a C1-7 acyl group and a C1-8 alkoxycarbonyl group; Xa represents an amino acid 1 residue; Xb represents a L- or D-tryptophan residue or a chemically modificated L- or D-tryptophan residue; Xc represents an amino acid 1 residue; either one of Ya, Yb, Yc and Yd is L-cysteine and other three residues represent bonds; B is a carboxy terminal residue selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group, a C1-7 alkoxy group, an amino group and a C1-7 mono- or dialkylamino group]. |
