PURPOSE: To simplify a transmission path and the structure of a coupling device by meshing a pair of side gears through a pinion, disposing a pair of pressure rings in such a manner as to surround the side gears and the pinion, and disposing plural clutch plates rotated in one body with the side gears or the like. CONSTITUTION: When a four-wheel drive car advances rectilinearly, the turning torque of an engine is input from an input gear 1 through a front differential case 3 to a side gear 4. The turning torque of the side gear 4 gives the reverse turning torque to a side gear 5 by the rotation of a pinion 6. The braking force is applied to the reversed side gear 5 by the frictional clutch action of plural clutch plates 10, 11. Further, the pinion 6 is revolved according to the braking force, and the revolution torque is input to the respective cams 8a, 9a of plural pressure rings 8, 9 by a pinion cross shaft 7, and the axial thrust is divided.
