Compounds of the general formula I <IMAGE> (I) in which n is 1, 2 or 3 and in which X is oxygen or sulfur, T has the meaning of -S-, -S-S-, -S-S-, -S-S-S-S-, -S-S-S-S-S-, <IMAGE> and Y has the meaning of <IMAGE> in which Z has the meaning of -H, -COR13, -COOR13 or -CONHR13, and Q has the meaning of oxygen or -NR0-, and R1, R2, R0, R4 and R13 are as defined in claim 1, with the proviso that the compound of the formula C2H5-S-CH2CH(OH)-P(OC2H5)2 is excepted. The invention also relates to compositions containing the compounds of the formula I and organic materials, for example functional liquids and, in particular, lubricants.
