PURPOSE: To obtain water-soluble propolis powder readily soluble in water, easily providing a clear water-soluble solution having stability and to provide a method for producing the water-soluble propolis powder. CONSTITUTION: Water-soluble propolis powder is obtained by immersing a propolis powder raw material in water under fixed conditions, extracting water- soluble components in propolis and powdering the water extract by drying. By washing the propolis raw substance with ethanol or hydrous ethanol before the water extraction, a fragrant component is extracted together with the water- soluble components from propolis and the extract is powdered to give the water- soluble propolis powder. |
