FIELD: metal working. SUBSTANCE: end-milling cutter has spiral milling plates with annular sector-shaped normal section having width 1/3 of arc length. One side is beveled to obtain front clearance angle. Relief angle is obtained by developing cutting plate for an angle relative to cutter body axis. During operation cutting force acts upon cutter tooth so that cutting plate is urged to supporting surfaces of body. Cutting edge overhang is reduced so as to increase its strength. EFFECT: increased efficiency by improved strength and durability and enhanced reliability in operation. |
