FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves application of a catheter with a straight distal end introduced by means of a guide to the level of the renal arteries, then the guide is replaced by another guide with a crooked end, and the catheter is introduced into the renal artery. The crooked guide is removed, and the catheter is moved upwards in the aortato form a loop. The loop is lowered till bifurcation of the aorta, and the catheter is introduced into the external ileac artery. Small amounts of contrast substance are regularly administered for X-ray monitoring of the catheter position. EFFECT: simpler method; less traumatic catheterization. |
