As the chemical evaporates, the pancreas surface acquires a cover of ice crystals and its temperature drops to be from zero to 4 C above zero. The result is suppression and destruction of the exocrinous apparatus while the islet tissue function is preserved. EFFECT: higher efficacy of treatment.
