Immersed casting pipe

The immersed casting pipe (2), for introduction of steel melts into aa continuous casting mould with a long and narrow cross section, has a flattened end section with outlet openings. The passage cross section of the pipe within its end region (2a) is divided by a distributor (8) into a row of channels (9). Below the broad pipe walls (2b), as far as down as the exit openings (10), the channels (9) are open on one side.
