LASER RANGE BEACON FOR PILOTAGE OF MOBILE OBJECTS

FIELD: pilotage of vessels. SUBSTANCE: beacon has two lasers of different color which are optically connected with reflectors of first and second scanning devices and first and second translucent ports of beacon; beacon also has generator of two control signals shifted in time by half period of horizontal scanning and two photodetectors whose outputs are connected with generator of two control signals shifted in time by half period of horizontal scanning; optical inputs are engageable with reflectors by means of translucent ports. Orientation zones are formed at output of laser beacon by beams of lasers of different color scanning in turn. Color of flanges shows the side of range and time between series of flashes shows the amount of displacement relative to axis of range. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of orientation of ship, enhanced reliability of pilotage and increased range of action of beacon.
