SINGLE TRIP OPEN HOLE WELL COMPLETION SYSTEM AND METHOD

A well completion system (10) which includes a production packer assembly (11), production tubing (15) sealed to the packer assembly (11), and an isolation assembly (12) coupled with the packer assembly (11). The isolation assembly (12) includes an isolation pipe (26) received within a production screen (22) and sealed at both ends therewith. The isolation pipe (26) defines at least one port and carrying a moveable sleeve (30) defining at least one aperture. The sleeve (30) is moveable between an open position in which the port and aperture are in communication to permit fluid flow therethrough, and a closed position in which the port and aperture are not in communication and fluid flow is prevented. The isolation system (12) is also coupled with a wash down shoe (18) and a shearable ball seat (20). The well completion system is useful in a method for establishing a well for production.
