Cigarette pack with tamper-evident element

The package, made from a single panel of a semi-rigid material, is cut out and folded to form a body. The body has its rear face (4) connected to the rear face (3) of its lid by a fold line (5) which acts as a hinge. The panel is made with two lengthwise fold lines forming a central strip the same width as the package and two side strips which form its edges. The central strip has pre-cut lines which prevent the lid from being opened until they have been separated. Alternatively, the lid can have a tongue on its front edge to engage with a slit at the top of the body of the package.
