A hair cutter has a housing with a cutting chamber(8) connected by an outlet with a vacuum device. The housing has an inlet(12) for the entry of atmospheric air and hair strands. The hand-operated cutter works on the strands protruding into the chamber. The inlet is a slit(12) whose axis is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cutter. The outlet is formed by a hollow handle (14). The cutter is a pair of scissors(5) projecting into the housing and with finger grips directly under or above the hollow handle. The plane of the scissors is above the inlet. There is a pressure equaliser to give a uniform vacuum around the inlet. |
