The pedal (10) fixture has a small plate (44) to be fixed under the shoe sole, with a front point (48) and rear grooves (50). The pedal front (16) and rear (22) has housings, mating with the plate point and rear. The plate rotates vertically about an axis (20) and rocks transversally around another sprung axis to the rear. A pedal tenon (36) locates in the plate groove. The rear plate lateral inclined edges (54), adjacent to similar cooperating pedal edges (38), free the assembly and tenon, on rotation. Alternatively inclined plate (58) and pedal (62) edges lock in place on rotation. ADVANTAGE - Less fatigue for the cyclist. The cyclist chooses the angular area of free rotation most convenient to himself.
