Thiazole azo dyestuffs of the formula

in which

  R<1> denotes hydrogen, optionally substituted C1-C6-alkyl, halogen, optionally substituted C1-C6-alkoxy, optionally substituted C1-C6-alkylthio, optionally substituted phenylthio, C1-C6-alkylsulphonyl, optionally substituted phenylsulphonyl or C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl,
  R<2> denotes cyano, C1-C4-alkanoyl, benzoyl, C1-C6-alkylsulphonyl, optionally substituted phenylsulphonyl or a radical of the formula -CH = T, in which T represents the radical of a CH-acidic compound,
  R<3> denotes hydrogen, optionally substituted C1-C6-alkoxy, C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl, carbamoyl or C1-C4-mono- or dialkyl carbamoyl,
  R<4> denotes C1-C6-alkyl, optionally substituted C1-C6-alkoxy, optionally substituted C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyloxy, optionally substituted phenoxycarbonyloxy, substituted aminocarbonyloxy, optionally substituted C1-C4-alkanoyloxy, optionally substituted C1-C4-alkanoylamino, or optionally substituted phenyl,
  R<5> denotes hydrogen, optionally substituted C1-C10-alkyl or optionally substituted C3-C5-alkenyl and
  R<6> and R<7> denote hydrogen, halogen, cyano, optionally substituted C1-C10-alkyl, optionally substituted C1-C4-alkoxy, amino or C1-C4-mono- or dialkylamino,
and their use for the dyeing or printing of textile fibres.
