<p>PURPOSE: To provide a fluid control valve, especially for use in a compressed air supply installation capable of communicating the downstream side of the valve with the atmosphere at a valve closing position while adopting a slide valve constitution, fitting an exhaust silencer or feeding exhaust air to a remote place by a pipe. CONSTITUTION: A valve main body 1 includes a valve main body 1 where an inlet passageway 3 and an outlet passageway 4 are defined, and an opening and closing plate 9, and the opening and closing plate 9 is capable of moving in the lateral direction to the passageways 3, 4 between a valve open position in which the orifice formed to pierce therethrough is in register with the passageways 3, 4 thereby permitting fluid to flow through the valve and a valve close position in which the orifice is wholly out of register with the passageways thereby isolating the inlet passageway from the outlet passageways. In the opening and closing plate 9, an exhaust passageway 15 for communicating the outlet passage 4 through an exhaust passageway 16 further formed in the valve main body 1 to the atmosphere in the valve close position is defined at least a part thereof, thereby automatically exhausting the downstream side of the installation in the valve close position.</p> |
