NIOBIUM-ALUMINUM SUPERCONDUCTOR, ITS MANUFACTURE AND SUPERCONDUCTIVE MAGNET DEVICE USING IT

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a Nb3 Al type superconductor having a high magnetic field and a high critical current density, and a method for manufacturing it. CONSTITUTION: This Nba3 Al superconductor is characterized by interposing an amorphous metal layer 1 between a Nb layer or Nb alloy layer 3 and an Al layer or Al alloy layer 2 followed by heat treatment. Thus, a high magnetic field can be generated with a small-sized device, compared with a conventional case.
