PURPOSE: To prevent positioning shift of respective color images from occurring at the time of writing-in due to a pattern of speed variation of a photoreceptor becoming mismatched by variation of potential difference generated in-between the photoreceptor and a rotary brush, in a multicolor electrophotographic device removing residual toner on the photoreceptor with use of the rotary brush. CONSTITUTION: The residual toner on the photoreceptor 24 is removed by using the rotary brush 49 applying bias voltage by voltage applying means after weakening adhesion by discharging by a corona discharge unit 50 for each color transferring. In the multicolor electrophotographic device, a discharger lamp 63 is disposed between the corona discharge unit 50 and the rotary brush 49. Then, an influence of the load torque variation imparted to the photoreceptor 24 by the attraction force is prevented, by discharging the photoreceptor 24 surface while irradiating the photoreceptor 24 surface with the discharger lamp 63 before removing the residual toner on the photoreceptor 24 with use of the rotary brush 49, reducing the potential difference generated in-between the photoreceptor 24 and the rotary brush 49 and making the attractive force between the both small. |
