<p>PURPOSE: To provide a grommet capable of being easily and surely inserted to a panel through-hole with a small inserting force by forming the grommet provided with a major diameter cylindrical part having a fitting groove on the outer circumference, a tapered part, and minor diameter cylindrical part by using an elastic material. CONSTITUTION: A grommet 11 is formed of a major diameter cylindrical part 13, a minor diameter cylindrical part 12, and a tapered cylindrical part 14 between both the cylindrical parts 12, 13, which are integrally formed by use of an elastic material, and a fitting groove 15 and a tongue piece 16 for pressing piece are provided on the outer circumferential edge of the cylindrical part 13. When the cylindrical part 12 of the grommet 11 is fixed to a wire harness W, and the wire harness W is moved in an arrowed direction B, the cylindrical part 14 is bent outward and turned inside out. When the wire harness W is then inserted into the through-hole Pa of a panel P and pulled in an arrowed direction A, the groove 15 is guided by the tongue piece 16 and fitted to the peripheral part of the hole Pa, whereby the grommet 11 is easily and surely installed to the through-hole of the panel with a small force.</p> |
