PURPOSE: To protect an error check correction code by dividing a data sector packet into small blocks, forming a block, applying interleaving to each block so as to generate a parity symbol thereby enhancing correction capability regardless of a complete type structure. CONSTITUTION: An N-th data sector packet formed by a matrix array data packet is divided into small blocks in 16-byte or the like and a check generation block is formed by 10 sector packets or the like and the blocks are stacked to form a large complete block. Then interleaving is applied to each block and 1st error correction symbols P10 , P11 ,... are formed to small blocks C0 , D1 , E2 ,... and 2nd error correction symbols AP0 , BPo ,... are formed to small blocks A0 , A1 ,... then the error correction capability regardless of a complete form and the error correction symbols AP0 , BP0 ,... are protected by the error correction symbols P10 , P11 ,.... |
