PURPOSE: To provide a method for determining a magnetization error in the magnetization measuring method for determining an abnormal error by immediately detecting the magnetization error. CONSTITUTION: A traveling magnetic long material 1 is magnetized by a magnetizer 2 and a magnetic flux detector 3, an operation for detecting a magnetization point is repeated, and the length of the magnetic long material 1 is measured from the accumulation detection result of the magnetization point. During the travel, the amount of travel obtained from the detection result of the magnetization point is compared with the amount of travel of the magnetic long material 1 obtained from the rotary angle of a rotor 6 which is pressed against the magnetic long material 1 and is rotated by a magnetization error determinator 9. When the abnormal error occurs, it is shown on a display 10 and at the same time the travel of the magnetic long material 1 is stopped by an outputting equipment 11, thus immediately detecting magnetization error and determining an abnormal error and quickly stopping the display and device. |
