PURPOSE: To limit a candidate group making respective conversion candidates belonging to a desired group objects when the plural conversion candidates are obtained by KANA(Japanese syllabary)/KANJI(Chinese character) conversion so as to facilitate a candidate selection operation in KANA/KANJI conversion. CONSTITUTION: When an operater instructs the device for 'conversion' by the operation of a 'conversion' key 11a after a KANA character string (reading) is inputted, a control part 12 executes a KANA/KANJI conversion processing through a KANA/KANJI conversion part 14. When a group (a part of speech, for example) becoming the object of candidate limitation is designated by the operation of a 'candidate limitation' key 11b, the control part 12 extracts the conversion candidate belonging to the designated group concerned among the candidate group obtained as a KANA/KANJI conversion result through a candidate limitation processing part 16 and outputs it to an output part 13. |
