The fire-door closes an aperture in a wall through which a goods conveyor system passes. Shutting of the door (4) can be prevented by the goods (5) on the conveyor stopped in the doorway instead of passing through. The electric motors (7,12) driving the conveyor (1) have flywheels (7b,12b) sufficient to move any goods clear of the path of the shutting door if the electric power fails.
