PURPOSE:To securely form the loop of a sheet of paper during conveyance at the time of starting by starting and stopping a conveying roller provided in a paper feeding part, a conveying roller in a paper conveying part, and a paper refeeding roller in this order. CONSTITUTION:At the time of feeding a sheet of paper from a paper feeding device 204 to an image forming part 203, conveying rollers 150, 151 in the paper feeding device 204, conveying rollers 403, 404 in a copying conveying part 205, and paper refeeding rollers (register rollers) 408, 409 are started and stopped in this order. That is as the conveyance of a sheet of paper is detected by means of a register sensor in the copying conveying part 205, the conveying rollers 403, 404 are stopped after a defined time forming a loop between the rollers and the nip parts of the refeeding rollers 408, 409 which are being stopped at this time due to the disengagement of a register clutch, to make the sheet of paper standby. When the sheet of paper is started again, the conveying rollers 403, 404 and the refeeding rollers 408, 409 are driven simultaneously to convey the sheet of paper to the image forming part 203. Thereby, the loop of the sheet of paper can be securely formed during the conveyance at the time of starting. |
