The casing (1) encloses a vat (2) heated eg. by screened resistive elements (3) and equipped with a lid (7) jointed to the top edge (8) of the casing. The lid has a descending edge (9) and a counter-lid (10) fixed to its internal wall (12). The seal (13) has a tubular portion (14) resting on the top edge (5) of the vat when the lid is closed. An outer lip (20) is formed on the seal between the tubular portion and descending edge of the lid. It extends downwards beyond the plane (P) contg. the lower surface of the tubular portion towards the descending edge.
