Large volumes of mousse are produced in a vessel (1) with a lid (6). The vessel is filled with liquid containing a surfactant additive. A central cylindrical perforated screen (2), carrying radial fins (8) is rotated and gas bubbled from a central perforated tube (3) to generate bubbles. The foam produced is discharged via an opening (7) to a horizontal outlet duct (13), pushed by a pair of rotating fins (9).
