The second keyboard is supported above a normal computer keyboard, and has rods projecting down to operate the keys on the conventional keyboard. The secondary keyboard has the keys arranged orthogonally rather than the diagonal arrangement on a conventional keyboard. The motion of the secondary keys is limited and guided by a chassis that supports the secondary keyboard. The downward projections from the keys are offset appropriately to allow them to act on the keys below. The secondary keyboard has edges that fit past the edge of the top and bottom key rows on the conventional keyboard.
