The aim of the invention is to allow sight-impaired persons to be independent and it is formed by means of the functional association of an emitter 1 located on the element or system which is to supply the information and a receiver 2 available to the sight-impaired person, which begins to function when the emitter is actuated. The emitter makes it possible to send, by means of radio frequency, a series of pulses in series, which are heard as eight-bit words by the receiver, so that, depending on how they are arranged, they activate different programs in it, making it possible to perform the corresponding function. To this end, both the emitter 1 and the receiver 2 consist of different functional units or circuit sections which, under the supervision in both cases of a microcontroller, allow the emitter 1 to generate and emit a signal which can be recognized by the receiver 2 in the possession of the sight-impaired person, which signal represents the location of the object or system which the sight-impaired person is attempting to use or gain access to. <IMAGE>
