<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band printing method for page printer in which generation of band overrun error is prevented. SOLUTION: The band printing method comprises a step 203 for dividing a received print data into bands and converting the received print data of each band into a data easily convertible into a bit map data, a step 205 for predicting the conversion time of each band into a bit map data, steps 207, 209 for comparing the predicted conversion time with a reference conversion time, and a step 211 for converting the exceeding band previously into a bit map data. When conversion into a bit map data and printing are executed on the order of band, a previously converted bit map data is read out and printed at steps 215-225 for the band processed at step 211.</p> |
