PURPOSE: To obtain a health food which is suitable for candies, drops, tablets, chewing gum, capsules or drinks by using procyanidin B-1 having anti- inflammatory action and antiallergic action. CONSTITUTION: This health food or antiallergic agent contains procyanidin B-1 which is a polymer of (+)-catechin or (-)-epicatechin, preferably in an amount of 0.01-0.5wt.% in the total amount of the food. The dose as an antiallergic agent is preferably 30-100mg/day/adult. |
