TREATMENT OF SLUDGE AND SLUDGE-TREATING MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To stably and effectively utilize sludge without generating offensive odor by mixing quicklime with sludge and adding fly ash to the mixture of sludge and lime. CONSTITUTION: In the case of treating sludge, quicklime is mixed with sludge and fly ash is added to the mixture of sludge and lime. Further, quicklime is mixed with sludge and the mixture of sludge and lime is regulated to <=6wt.% moisture amount and fly ash may be added to the mixture. Furthermore, BET specific surface area of fly ash is regulated to >=1.0m<2> /g preferably >=2.0m<2> /g. Fly ash is added to the mixture of sludge and lime at >=50wt.% preferably <=100wt.%. On one side, sludge-treating material is constituted by mixing quicklime with sludge and mixing fly ash with the mixture of sludge and lime at >=50wt.% preferably >=100wt.%. The sludge-treating material is used as the raw material of cement.
