<p>PURPOSE: To obtain regenerated pulp capable of being used for molded products not rejected with a metal detector and for printing paper good in appearance by disintegrating waste paper containing magnetic recording waste paper so as not to finely disintegrate magnet layers, and subsequently separating the magnets. CONSTITUTION: This method for producing regenerated pulp from magnetic recording waste paper comprises disintegrating the waste paper comprising <=50wt.% of the magnetic recording waste paper and <=50wt.% of general waste paper in such a mild condition as not finely disintegrating the magnet layers, and while removing non- disintegrated pulp in an amount of >=10wt.% based on the weight of the magnetic waste paper charged through a hole plate in a disintegration machine or at its discharging port, discharging the produced pulp from the pulper, configurationally separating the magnets from the produced pulp through a round hole type or a slit type screen, and subsequently separating the left magnets at a rejection rate of >=10% with a specific gravity difference separation type cleaner. Thus, the obtained regenerated pulp is extremely little in the content of iron oxides, substantially not detected with a metal detector and almost free from color spats originated from the iron oxides.</p> |
